Holiday Baking

After work today the family and I headed to Wal Mart where we did our monthly grocery shopping. We attempt to make one giant run each month.

Jade was cranky, so Jeff left and brought her home. Jenna and I shopped for 2 hours!

When we got home I started cooking and Jeff helped Jenna prepare her clothes for next 2 days of school and for her Christmas concert tomorrow night.

Here is the outfit she chose- YIKES- This is a red shirt, black puffle vest, black bubble skirt and red striped PJ bottoms!!! Can you VETO!

She switched the bottoms to khakis.

She was not in a very good mood during this process, so I don’t have any good pics of her today.

I made:

2 broccoli casseroles

2 batches of white chocolate pretzels

2 batches of sugar cookies

1 batch of white choc covered Ritz and peanut butter sandwiches

2 batches of cheese straws

and 1 frozen pizza (the family had to eat!)

oh, and I had tomato bisque soup

I made a tray of goodies for Jade’s teachers and 1 for my co workers. From the looks of the platter, I have issue with color! Oh well!

The cheese straw recipe was a new one and it had a MUCH easier consistency to press out than my original. I hope they are as flaky when they cool. The jury is still out on these.

and FYI- Tabasco is not a substitute for cayenne pepper….but it works OK. Ha!

I may not post tomorrow…I have to work and then I have to drive Nonni to the airport to pick up Todd, Caro, and Victoria. Outta be an interesting trip since I CAN NOT see in the dark.
