Macon Children’s Museum

On Thursday afternoon we used our gifted passes to the Macon Children’s Museum. It’s a neat little place in downtown Macon. There are tons of little activities and playthings for kids.

Downstairs they have these little playhouses for several countries. Jade took a liking to the Japanese tea house.

In the creative play room, Jeff and I took our appropriate seats (Smile) while the girls plays dress up, bubbles, blocks, books, etc.

We laughed when we realized we matched.

Jade’s favorite area was the farmer’s market. We shop at our farmers’ market every week for our produce, so I guess this is why she liked it. She was so sad when it was time to leave. She loved playing in this room!

No trip to Macon with Dad is complete without KK doughnuts.

Jeff did have a doctor’s appointment. He has been in some pain, so he got a steroid shot and some anti inflammatory meds. We hope this helps, but basically, shoulder surgery is no joke. He was also released for rehab, finally.

Many thanks for the sweet gifts to the museums! We had a great day!

Macon Science Museum

Our family was gifted passes to the Macon Museum of Arts and Sciences and we went on Thursday. This was Jade and Jeff’s first visit here.

Jade was amazed by the talking bird. This bird is SO loud!

The all loved working the robot dinosaur. The museum had a special exhibit on dinosaurs that was pretty neat.

The next few pictures are taken by Jenna. She took over the camera in the dinosaur exhibit.

Jade looks like she is in pain, but she was really making dinosaur noises.

These are real dinosaur eggs.

Jae LOVED the archeology dig area.

They all enjoyed the live animal exhibit.

The playroom in the basement of the museum is always fun!

We then took a walk around the nature trail. They have a lovely walkway and pond.

It was a nice morning. I do not have any pictures of the planetarium, but we did that, too. The guy did an excellent job explaining the night sky, which completely confuses me. (All stars look alike to me. )

By this time we were all hungry so we headed over to the Mexican place to snag a bite to eat. We then grabbed to La Berry. Yum!

Stay tuned for what we did in the afternoon….

Sunday we went to Old Salem for Hannah and Haley’s birthday party. They are sweet sisters who share a birthday week. It was such a fun party with the sweetest party guests EVER. Seriously- Not one whine, not one cry, not one fight, tear, you get the picture. So sweet!

Such sweet and pretty girls. They all swam, ate, and went on a boat ride. It was a great day.

Haley has been a very sweet friend to Jenna. They have a special bond that only a few kids have. I am so thankful for friends like these girls.

What a great day!
