Fatweiser Pot Roast

Jeff tried the roast tonight and and said it’s a keeper! I’m happy since it was easy and cheap. As promised, here’s the recipe:

Technorati Tags:

Grab a roast- any kind, any size- we use venison cause Jeff hunts and we have a surplus

Grap a crockpot: 4-6 qts will do

Throw in thawed roast.

pour a couple tablespoons of vegetable oil or olive oil on top

sprinkle with seasoned salt

sprinkle with onion powder (unless you like onions- then just add some)

can of beer (any kind, but we used Budweiser {Fatweiser})

some mushrooms (canned or fresh- as many as you want)

tablespoonish of flour

2-3 beef bouillon cubes or 1 can of beef broth

stir it up til semi smooth and let cook til roast is done. I’m thinking 4-6 hours depending on size of roast.

It’s crockpot- you can’t mess it up. If you have ever ruined something in the crockpot, leave me a comment and tell me how you managed to do that!

Please get those pix up on shutterfly. I'm going to need a project when they leave. This house is going to be like a morgue :(. Todd and I will be commiserating together. love u, c
