Headed to the Beach!

>

Last night we had dinner at the Japanese steak house with some friends. It was Bruce's birthday celebration. Happy BIrthday, Bruce! I won't divulge his age, but I will tell you that it ends in a "9" and next year we may be saying, "Lordy, LOrdy, Bruce is _____!" Dinner was great and lots of fun. The Morris Family is such a sweet family. Their middle daughter and Jenna were both at Emme's sleepover.

After dinner, Jennifer and I went to a "meet and greet" at a BEAUTIFUL local home. We were meeting a young lady who will be marrying a local guy later this summer. It's tradition in small southern towns to have a "meet and greet" when a local marries an "outsider". I'm sure this young lady was wondering what she had gotten herself into. It was a very nice gathering.

Today I am keeping Jenna's other sister, Bryn. So if you are keeping count, that makes this house full of 3 young girls today. Bryn is 3. The girls play well together (most of the time.)

I got a call around midnight last night. Emme's mom tells me that JEnna is not feeling well. Turned out to be a case of homesickness. She toughed it out and made it thorugh the night just fine. She says she had a great time at the party. They made the cutest t-shirts. They got colored tshirts and drew a design in chalk on the front. When they were satisfied with the design, they took a bleach pen and drew over the chalk. Today they were all sporting their own designs.

My car is being washed as I type. Yippee! I love a clean car, but hate to clean them. (see profile for details on what I like vs what I dont like to do. :))

Tonight we will go grocery shopping for vacation and then load the car. We will head out early in the morning. The Macs will look after our home while we lounge at the beach. Hoping to see some rockin fireworks tomorrow night. Can't wait to see JEff's family. Me Me and Pappy- here we come!
