Today Jenna’s sister, Bryn, is with us. She wanted to come and play with JEnna and we are glad to have her. The noise level with 3 girls is astronomical! (probably not as bad as 3 boys would be…) Back before school got out Jenna and I went to the local thrift store in search of some used clay pots that she could paint during the summer. Today seemed like a good enough day to start on that project.
I had some kids poster paint left from an old project so I whipped it out….spread a tablecloth….
Put everything in the garage…
put Jade in her high chair with her prune juice mix…..
and the painting began….
The turned out cute. JEnna painted the initials of her new school on her pot. (I’m sensing a little anxiety in that.)
After they finished I brought everything inside to clean up. I had the drop cloth down for no more than 5 seconds, but Jade still managed to sit in the wet paint. No biggie- it’s washable paint. I took off her pants and threw them in the washer with the drop cloth. That means she only had on a diaper and shirt…well, look at the pic below…yep, that’s her diaper on the floor! Grrr- she took off her own diaper!! At least I caught her before the prune juice started to work!!!
Jenna dressed Bryn up and had her perform as if she was in a beauty contest- talent competition and all.
Jeff and I will go to Milledgeville tonight to pick up the Polaris and the 4Wheeler. He said he would take me out to dinner, too. That will be a nice break from all of the cooking I have been doing this week.
JEnna’s step brother Zach plays in the state All Stars tournament this weekend. He is an awesome baseball player and we wish him lots of luck! I wish we could go watch him play, but I’m thinking it’s not gonna happen.
