Sweet Jesus

Today was Baptism day at church. We usually have at least one baptism day each year, but we have been known to have more as needed.

We have a pool at our church (strange, I know) so we use that for the baptisms.

Today we had a rather large group to get baptized. They ranged in age from 5 to probably 55.

Here they are lined up waiting their turn. There doesn’t appear to be many spectators. That’s because everyone waited under the shaded picnic area.

This is one of my students. She and her two younger sisters were baptized today.

This is one of Jenna’s classmates at her old school. His mom was baptized today, as well.

I bet you thought the title of this post referred to the baptism, right? Well, of course it did, but it also referred to what I said when I decided to clean behind my refrigerator this afternoon.

Sweet Jesus- it’s a wonder our house hadn’t burned down. You see, to my knowledge it had not been cleaned under  or behind since I built the house…..11 years ago!!! The dust was incredible. If you have not cleaned behind yours recently, take a few minutes to do so. (consider it another PSA)

I found some diaper coupons that expired in 2002, a picture of a car I sold in 2001, a prenatal vitamin that was the brand I took with jenna, a picture of a garden I plated when I was preg with Jenna, a pic of Jenna when she was 5 weeks old- it was addressed to Aunt Carol- guess she never got that pic, and a picture of my family at a Thanksgiving in 2004 when I was TOO skinny. (There is such a thing.)

oh, and I found 52 cents and a g/c for $3 to dairy queen. I’m gonna get me a Blizzard to ensure that I am NEVER that skinny again.

I hope you have better luck finding more valuable things, but getting rid of the dust is certainly worth the few minutes it will take.

Take the challenge- clean behind your refrigerator!
