Today was my first day of work in 3 months. There was NO easy transition back into the groove either. Oh no- I walked in to a mostly partially completed school- I found my new room and found it to be STARK EMPTY with the exception of a 16 foot bulletin board on the FLOOR! Now, this was one of the better rooms, so I am thankful. (sorta)
I did not take a pic of the STARK EMPITINESS, but you can imagine.
Here is what it looked like after Justin and Gregory delivered my stuff. They did an excellent job!
and here it was when I left work at 7pm tonight….
Not perfect, but I COULD teach here if I had to. The bulletin board is still not hung and I still have to find a way to get 7 more desks in here. I must give a shout out to Sharon and Mary Ann who helped tremendously. Mary Ann had to bail after several roaches wigged her out. Too bad she wasn’t there when I busted the spider nest and baby spiders scurried. I guess that’s what happens when your stuff is stored in a garage that stays open to the country air.
I used a LOT of hand sanitizer today!!!
The building has been very nicely renovated and although I downsized my room considerably, I am excited about our new home. (might as well be b/c I’m stuck there)
Now, check out this pretty sight…
Oh wait- wrong pic. That is Jeff’s cast. Surgeon said no surgery required and put on this cast that is literally 1/6th the size of the one that the ER put on him.
Here’s the good pic…
Yep, parking in the garage again. nice!
