Poor Jenna

Today Jenna and I went to Athens for her allergy appointment. She had the infamous scratch test.

She did fine

The office was FREEZING which came in handy as she waited for the results to be read.

The arm scratch only showed an allergy to green peas (every kids dream!) so they proceeded to do a leg scratch test with a stronger dose of the allergens.

Again, no response to explain the symptoms that she has suffered with since FOREVER

So, they decided to do blood work to check her immune system. Jenna was well prepared for the scratch test and was not too worried about the blood test until…..

 

They tied this band across her arm and LEFT IT THERE! The kid has the deepest veins I have ever seen. Even with the tourniquet you could not see her vein. The nurse luckily was able to stick her correctly anyway.

I stopped taking pics after this point because Jenna was in real pain and it got a little more ugly.

Back in 2 weeks for results and follow up….YUCK! Poor Jenna!
