Party Time

I spent the day working volunteering at school. We were called in to a meeting so that we could get it out of the way and be ready to move into the school next week. It was actually a smart move to hold the meeting today.

We were given an update on the school renovations and basically were told that it’s “worse case scenario’. Oh well, the school will be safe for us next week and in time will be clean, functional, and complete. Patience is a virtue that we were encouraged to embrace. We will survive.

Jade spent her first day at day care in 3 months. She has moved up a room and was expected to take only 1 nap and sleep on a mat. Believe it or not, she complied. They said that she would not feed herself. Well, duh, why would she- we feed her ourselves. GUess we should work on that.

Tonight Jenna is having a “get to know you”  swimming party for a few of the girls who will be in 2nd grade at her new school.  (pics to come) Of course, we couldn’t invite everyone, but we tried to get a small group together to ease the transition.

I have started quilting my quilt. Grrr- it’s harder than I expected. I have done 6 rows and have 90 million left to do. I wanted to get it done by Monday, but it’s not gonna happen. We have plans this weekend that prevent me from doing any sewing.

What a mess!

BTW- AMS informed me that she signed me up for another quilt class in September. I guess that gives me a target date to have this 1st one done. I can tell that I am not yet a “real” quilter because since I have made a blanket for me to use this winter, I’m not sure why I would need another blanket. (Don’t bombard me with requests to have me make you a quilt. 1) I’m not that good yet. 2) it’s too much $. 3) It’s way too much time and effort – no matter how much I love you. If I ever make you a quilt, you will know that you have reached the TIP TOP of my favorites list.)

That darn AMS! Summer’s over and she is still getting me into stuff!

At least I gave you about three weeks notice on this one. Only a week or two on the first one. And remember, YOU talked ME into taking the Trip Around the World class. It was way more work than the purse class I talked You into taking. Anywhoo, you know you really enjoy the classes.

Hey Jan,

Sorry to hear about Your hubby's hand...ouch!
As far as the new quilting class is concerned, Hood did have something to do with it- just thought I'd let you know. Those 2 are in cahoots!
