Today has been very productive at the Mullis home. The morning started with me getting to sleep until 8am. Can I get an Amen?! Jeff played with Jade until her morning nap. When she went down, he went to work. (Remember the honey do list?)
I was able to get some of the weekly cleaning and laundry completed before she awoke.
We then Skyped with Todd, Caro, and Victoria. Jade really liked seeing Victoria. I LOVE Skype!
One of the “dos” on the to do list was to address the disgusting garage! The floor needed repainting, the cobwebs needed dusting, and a major “decrapification” needed to occur. Jeff is bad about bringing in the Polaris with mud on it, and things go downhill from there. Add to it that we leave the garage door open a lot, so leaves constantly blow in. Having a circle driveway to the front door would sure help this problem. Oh well.
We already had the concrete paint and supplies to get this done. We bought it back in the fall and it has just never been a good time to do it. The weather was perfect today.
When the girls and I came in tonight, the garage is red , excuse me, GARNET. It looks SOO much better. Tomorrow Jeff will paint the steps and door. They will be black.
Jenna has a friend over to spend the night. I took them to the movies this afternoon. We saw Alice in Wonderland. They did a nice job on this movie. I don’t really care for fantasy movies, but this one was ok. The girls really liked it.
Tonight was the Closing Ceremonies of Upward. They had a magician do the show. He makes me VERY nervous becuase he uses audience participation. I stayed busy with Jade so that I would not have to particpate. The guy is married to Phil Driscoll’s daughter. The magician himself is “some kin” (as we say in these parts) to Dave Kauffman.
He had some neat tricks. I am glad that basketball is over, but it was a great season and Jenna had so much fun. We are looking forward to soccer season.
Todd just called and informed us that he and Caro have apparently bought a new house. Here is the link. http://rmls.com/RC2/engine/reportGenerator.asp
I LOVE this house. Todd walked/talked me through each room. I know they are excited! COngrats Todd and Caro.
Tomorrow brings church, more playing with Jenna and Landon, fun with Jade, more honey dos, and hopefully some rest. I have a date with Daddy to caption his tractor book and at some point we have to celebrate Nonni’s bday. She turns 75 tomorrow. (Maybe 74, I’m not sure.) Maybe we will celebrate her bday next week as she is doing what all old women do on their bdays- going to the opera. (AC, stop laughing!)
I will do a nice post about Nonni tomorrow. Stay tuned!

Jan - the link to Todd's house doesn't work
I wanted to see her on her 74th birthday, but oh no, off to the opera she went! Hope she told you we were not doing the family dinner etc. She opted for a half day spa at serentiy.
The opera is not because of my birthday-it fell on my birthday. We go 4x a year. I don't choose the dates, they choose us. I look great for 75, actually better than most many people say. Don't forget my birthday request! I kept it simple for you this year. Carol doesn't have to cook and you only have to find one pix. love y'all, c
