I have no pictures to (so shoot me!) prove it, but we have had a great weekend!
I don’t know why I didn’t take any pictures, but I took a break and actually enjoyed it. I will break the camera back out tomorrow.
After basketball yesterday, Jeff, Seth, me, and Julie went to Hannah’s to have a late lunch. As always, it was yummy. Jeff and Seth decided that they wanted to have a few people over for the evening. We ended up with a living room full and had an enjoyable time. It wasn’t as loud as Gloria’s, but I was glad for that.
We had some yummy food and ended up playing pong and spades. Before we knew it, Jeff, Seth, Julie, and I had played spades until 1:30am! (not good for the 9pm girl!) Julie ended up crashing at our house to keep from driving home so late.
I had plans to attend church this morning, but Jeff and Seth had plans to skip. It took me a while, but I finally realized that that meant I would be going to church just to sit in the nursery with Jade. So, I backed out of church, too.
As the day progressed Jeff and Seth concocted yet another plan. We would head to Macon (don’t shoot me Hope) where they would go to Bass Pro Shops and Julie and I would shop at the outdoor mall. Julie and I ended up with both kids and we had a great time. I had put back some money for a few splurges and today was a great day. I bought some nice smelling stuff at bath and Body Works. I used to always use their stuff, but with budget cuts, it’s now a splurge. I bought Moonlight Path and I LOVE IT! Julie was able to snag a good deal on some shoes for school. We all met back up for dinner at Wild Wing Cafe. (Jeff’s favorite) and then headed home. (ok, so we made a stop when the HOT light was on at KK.)
The weather has been perfect and the company has been even better. We had a LOT of socializing time with people that we see regularly, but don’t get to spend good time with much. We even ran into an old colleague and friend, Brandon, in Macon. It was good to see him and his family.
I think I have 2 more friends coming to Bible Study with me on Tuesdays. (One is Italian and one is Cuban- that ought to add some liveliness to the bunch!) They have heard me talk about Bible Study (I almost abbreviated that, but “BS” just doesn’t seem like a good name for Bible Study- Ha!) and I over heard them talking about wanting to attend. Of course, I jumped in and encouraged them.
So, I think this post is probably boring with no pics, but just trust me. We looked fabulous, the weather was beautiful, and we were having fun!
