She’s So Smart!

Not that we really needed any proof, but Jade proved her smartness today. When I picked her up from daycare today, she was missing an earring. They did not have it and I didn’t find it in her crib or pajamas. I called Claries, where we had them pierced, and they said I could come in and get a new pair with safety backs.

 

It has been over 2 months since we had Jade’s ears pierced. It was rather uneventful when we did it. She cried for less than 30 seconds, total. We have not been back Claries, or even the mall, since.

 

So after I got Jenna situated to go to Justin’s for the night, Jade and I headed to Claire’s. She robbed some of Jenna’s jewelry (can you say HOT MESS) and off we went.

We entered the mall and went into Claire’s with no problem. I knew the manager would be there (I called first) and she was the same lady that pierced the ears in December. As soon as we approached the poor manager and I greeted her, Jade looked and started SCREAMING! Notice I did not say crying. I said SCREAMING! She did not stop for the solid 12 minutes that we were in Claries. I was so embarrassed. She totally remembered that lady piercing her ears.

 

I bought the new earrings and got them in before we left the store. All is well, again.

 

I knew she recognized the doctor’s office and nurse, but I was SHOCKED that she knew the manager at Claries after over 2 months. Smart girl!

 

The girls got a box in the mail today from Hope. It was Jenna’s birthday present (#8 Precious Moments figurine) and some jewelry and hair bows. You can see Jade wearing the necklace above.  Thanks Hope! I will have Jenna call you tomorrow when she gets home.
