Cheerleaders in da House

Jenna has started a new cheerleading class on Monday nights. Gone are the weekly trips to Milledgeville! (Can I get an Amen!!) This new class is sponsored by the local high school cheerleaders and it is going WAY better than the old gym was. (and it’s cheaper! Double Amen!) Jenna just stays after school and we pick her up after we pick up Jade- so no  extra driving (triple Amen!)

 

Jenna spends most of her day upside down as she practices handstands, flips, etc. (it gets annoying, honestly)

 

Jade gets jealous so she gets help from Jenna and does her own flips.

 

Jenna practiced a cheer that she learned today and Jade was right beside her mocking her the whole time.

 

When Jeff and I went to pick up Jenna, her coach came out and got me and asked me to come watch for a minute. (This is otherwise strictly forbidden.) Jenna was up in a stunt and was flying high above the crowd. She is really doing so much better in just two classes.

These are the days when Jeff just LOVES having girls!!! :)

 

Jeff’s truck is in the shop (remember the deer incident?), so we are sharing a car (mine) for the next week or two. Fortunately we have very similar schedules and it shouldn’t be too inconvenient for us to make do with just one vehicle. School mornings will no doubt be interesting as we all 4 have to leave at the exact same time. If only 1 person is running late, then the whole batch becomes late. The good news is that he should have a break from traveling while his truck is being repaired.

 

Did I mention what a CRAZY day it was at work??!! Let’s just say that a fire alarm during class change (so the whole walk in a straight line and let your teacher count you went out the window- wait, we don’t have windows at our school, but you get my point) with a REAL fire wasn’t even the biggest highlight of the day. Yea, it was THAT crazy! Teaching middle school ensures that one will NEVER be bored! Just one of the reasons that I love my job!
