A New Quilt

AMS, Gloria, and I took another quilt class today. We learned to put triangles in our quilts. It was easier than I ever expected and in fact, my quilt top is already totally complete- including the borders. It’s not QUITE as large as Linus, but it’s a nice “snuggle on the couch” size.

The original design was a square. I could not find a need for a SQUARE quilt. It was suggested that I hang it on the wall. Uh, HELLO- not gonna happen. It was further suggested that I use it as a tablecloth- not a chance with my family! If I put all this time and effort in a quilt, it better keep someone warm.
My new quilt has a name, but I am keeping it secret until it is fully quilted. I have a plan for her and I will keep her hidden until a big reveal can be planned. You will notice that there are few to no pictures of me and this is to help conceal the quilt’s identity. SHe does not have a “theme” but she is BEAUTIFUL!
AMS made a colorful jewley toned quilt. Gloria made a CHristmas quilt that she is planning to make into a table cover for her mother. AMS has NO idea what she wants to do with hers.

I told them that if they want full satisfaction they should take their finished quilts to school, hold them up in front of the class, and have the students say in unison, “This is the most beautiful quilt I have ever seen!” I really did this with Linus on Friday…sad, but true.
