It’s our week to drive to soccer and cheerleading. That equals CHAOS. Actually, it’s not too bad. Jenna lost her spelling words so she THOUGHT she got out of doing homework.
So sorry bout her luck- her mom is a teacher and just found an alternate assignment. We read in her reading book and previewed some new math that she will be learning soon.
Did I really learn about acute, right, and obtuse angles in 2nd grade? I think I learned it in 5th grade. It’s a 2nd grade standard now, so we began working on it. She grasped the concept well, but remembering the words was a struggle. I taught her some tricks and she caught right on.
Jade is doing better. She still hates her breathing treatment. She went back to day care today and did fine.
I found a recipe for homemade deodorant, but the reviews were not great. Hope has volunteered to guinea pig for the shampoo. I will try to find a recipe that won’t make her go bald. Any takers on guinea piggin the deodorant so see if you will will smell like a goat or a human? (I’m thinkin we will pass on the deodorant.) AMS suggested a homemade body wash. I will look in to this. Last I looked it seemed that you had to buy so many items that you were better off buying some Dove and being done with it.
The laundry detergent has taken off. I hear tale that several young bachelors are using it now. A couple of them work at Publix and brought in old pickle buckets to store it in. Wondering how that might smell?
Gonna post the fabric softener recipe tonight. Hint: It’s 1 ingredient and I BET you have it in your pantry already.
