The put my car on the rack and the mechanic said I would not be leaving with it….I suspected. Fortunately, he was prepared to repair it on Saturday.
As we were wrapping up at the shop, Mama called and said she was out of clothes for Jade. I had a spare pair of pants in the diaper bag that I thought would match any color shirt….except THIS shirt. Hideous!
Saturday started a WHIRLWIND day. Remember, we only have 1 car at this point, Mama-Mac has been taken to the hospital in the middle of the night. I had to drive Jenna and Jeff over to the lake to a birthday party for Landon. Jeff rode with Cass and they went to Atlanta ice skating. They both really enjoyed skating and did quite well. Jeff didn’t take any pics that I know if.
I hurried back home because at 10 I had some students come over and work on a Science project of making homemade laundry detergent.
I then needed to leave around 12 to go over to Daddy-Mac’s to get some things that Mama-Mac needed, run to the hospital to visit Mama-Mac and to visit the Pinkerton’s who had welcomed their baby girl, Wylder.
I then had to go to Ashley’s wedding shower at 2. She had a very nice shower in Milledgeville and she got some awesome gifts. I took pictures with her camera, but I don’t have any. Lesson learned: Always carry your own camera.
I had to leave Ashley’s shower a bit early because I had to go back and pick up Jeff and Jenna, then head down the street to Holly and Mark’s for Peyton’s party at 3:30.
We finally got home around 6pm and I thought it would be a quiet evening….WRONG!
Soon, I got the call that Mama-Mac had tied up with the doctor and had requested that I call her…so I did. Then began a series of phone calls trying to get it all settled out. Once again, I went to bed late.
Jenna is selling Girl Scout cookies. Let me know if you want some. They are $3.50 a box.
Sunday brought church and another phone call from the hospital. This time it was Daddy telling me that they realized Mama-Mac had some unfinished business that was urgent and I needed to get right on it. So, several drafts, two more trips to the hospital, we finally got it taken care of. I ended the night helping a friend with a paper for her class. WOW!
Let’s just say I was GLAD to have a snow day today. I have a few small chores to do, have to fix Daddy-Mac lunch, and need to relax some.
