The fair and beyond

I realized that I never blogged about our trip to the fair. Jenna, Jade, Nonni, and I went to the fair in Perry a couple of weeks ago on Fall break.

We took a picnic and had a great time. Jade chewed on 2 apples while we were there. She only ate from the bottom which looked disgusting! Hey, it kept her happy.

 

The girls saw a cow milked for the first time! Hmm, I saw several cows get milked EVERY day as a kid.

Who ever heard of sea lions at a fair?

 

 

They had a great exotic petting zoo with giraffes, camels, monkeys, etc

 

As previously promised, here is a pic of my Emmaus group. If you look closely, you will see the table leaders holding signs with table names on them. My group was Hannah and we are all sitting. The lady in front of the sign with the knee brace was not in our group. I love every one of these ladies. What a great weekend!

My student teacher, Tori, is doing her TWS (full time teaching), so I spent a lot of last week with this view from my desk.

I spent some of this weekend with these sweet folks.  It’s rare that Jenna and Walker get to play. We ate at Mellow Mushroom. Jeff and I have not been there in like 2 years. We used to go a lot. I enjoyed spending time with them. Good friends are hard to come by.

 

This weekend was super busy. Friday, Jenna had a bday party at the movies, we went to dinner with Dawn and family, then they came over for a visit. Saturday, Jenna and I worked the local food drive. Jenna worked hard and I was so proud of her. Saturday afternoon all 4 of us took naps. That NEVER happens. Jeff and I have been a bit under the weather and Jenna was just tired. Jenna had a girl scout party that was AWESOME. I have a few pics that I will post later this week. We then went and visited at Dawn’s house.

Today was homecoming at the Mac’s church. The sermon, meal, and fellowship were great. If ever there was an Ebenezer, Philadelphia is it for this family. This afternoon I took pictures of the Brooks (see below) and now we are preparing for another work week. I love the easy going, lay around the house weekends, but I can’t complain about all the fun we had this busy weekend. We have missed 4 weeks at our church. we have been at some church every week, but I miss our home.

Off to another week…
