Photo Catch Up

So here is what has been a happening at the Mullis home:

We have the third snow of the year. I am not sure that we have seen three snows in the last 5 years combined. This snow on Thursday of this week did not close anything down. It was just pretty and kept the roads clear.

Sunday after church we found Jenna and Brooklyn climbing the tree out front. It's like a Sunday tradition for all kids.

Jade reverted back to infancy. I found an old paci and gave it to her. She has been paci free for a whole year. She went right back to it and was SO happy to get it. In fact, she went to sleep with it and we took it away in her sleep. She also got an old baby bottle. You can see she would not let go of the paci to drink the juice. Ha!

Monday night Jenna completed her Valentines. I used the same print as her birthday invites and made her zebra/ peace sign Valentines. All she needed to do was put the names on them and tape on the Blow Pops that I hadalready bought. Simple, right? Nope. She spent almost an hour coming up the perfect message to write on the back of each one. NOW, all that was left was the taping of the candy....Wrong again. when she opened the candy she was devastated that the wrappers had Valentine messages. Oh the stress of matching each message with the right friend. It took at least another 30 minutes. Fortunately, she was able to get it all worked out.

Jade helped, too.

My class has been working on a HUGE project. We compete in National History Day each year and typically dominate the competition. This week has been the week where students are completing their display boards. There has been lots of cutting and rubber cementing. I think it's my favorite week of the year. The students are so focused and self driven. I do not accept any crooked cut, rubber cement boogers, or ugly work. It is serious!

and in perhaps the BIGGEST news of the week: Jade POOPED on the potty. Remember when I mentioned going to Ryal's for a special cookie? I had the football cookie in a baggie hanging on the fridge since Saturday. We had talked about this cookie SO many times. Finally, Jade went on the potty last night and she was so proud. She REALLY enjoyed her cookie. I have replaced the cookie bag with a Blow Pop in the baggie. Hopefully, we are going over the hurdle!
