I made Jenna’s teachers some pens this week. They were so easy to make. Forgive the pics. I could NOT get the lighting just right.
Took a Bic pen, popped the cap off the end (not the writing side, the other side- that little bitty cap that holds the ink in), Cut a pretty flower stem about 1 inch from flower, stick down into pen, hot glue, wrap pen in pretty ribbon, hot glue at top and bottom. VOILA!
I bought these 3 flowers back in the summer. I had hopes of making Jenna’s classroom teacher one, her gifted teacher one, and, of course, one for me.
Then we found out that she has a para pro in her class and a student teacher (who happens to be a former student of mine.) So, the gifted teacher and I will have to wait. Oh well, I will get some more flowers and make us some. Definitely want to keep the para pro and student teachers happy. They work very hard and are so important.
Jenna got her flu shot today. Took us a while to find the correct one. She has asthma (found out last week) and she has to have the shot and not the live virus nasal spray. Everyone was out. Hopefully, the H1N1 shot will be in soon and we can get that, too.
Still haven’t found Jade’s flu shot. Everyone is out. I called her pediatrician in Milledgeville and they have both flu shots for her age. We are going tomorrow to get both flu shots and the shots that she was supposed to get when she had the flu last month. Should be a fun day, huh?!
