Today is a normal day. Thank God for normalcy- it’s been a while! Welcome back normalcy. Stay a while this time.

Last night Jeff and I went to Parents’ Night at Jenna’s school and we picked up her report card. She had a 99 in Spelling, 98 in Math, 100 in Reading, and 95 (highest you can get) in Social Studies. Needless to say, we are proud of her.

After that we headed to Dave’s for dinner and Bible Study. Jeff doesn’t normally go with me, but he agreed this time. Last month when we did this I forgot my camera, this time I remembered the camera, but forgot to take it out of the car. Maybe next month I will get it in the house.

If you are a regular reader you know that I struggled with what to bring for dinner. I ended up scrapping the dessert idea. I had almost decided on making some toffee, but then I decided that I didn’t want the responsibility of ripping someone’s teeth out. :) I ended up making green beans seasoned with Goya and some zipper peas that I put up this summer. Easy Peazy! I got lots of compliments and requests to bring that again. SCORE!

BJ said that the Goya is infested with MSG. I assured her that we blessed the food and would be fine. I Googled MSG today and there are mixed reviews on the problems it can cause, but I basically boiled it down to this: it’s ok in moderation (but better chased with chocolate, soda, and any other unhealthy goodie- ok, so I made that part up!) Honestly, I found that to avoid having to label it MSG, manufacturers have figured out other names to call it and it’s in a LOT of things that we all eat regularly. Scary. (but yummy)

Jeff left at 3am for work. He had to be in Jacksonville today, but will be home later tonight. I thought he should spend the night, but one of the guys he works with had a meeting to get home for. Bet he will be in a GREAT mood. Yippee!

No pictures today- camera is still in the car from when I packed it for Bible study. Gotta go fix dinner, bathe kids, do homework, prepare clothes for tomorrow, and stop Jade from putting Jenna’s underwear on her head………..AHHHH- normalcy???
