Any Given Sunday

On most any Sunday, before church, you will find my girls hanging out at the picnic table in the living room. Sometimes they are eating, watching TV, or maybe coloring. This Sunday, they were sorting their eggs from the egg hunt.

It’s AMAZING how many hours of fun some plastic eggs can provide.

On Another note: I have a new crush! I have never found the PERFECT bag- no perfect backpack, no perfect purse, no perfect luggage- I am VERY picky about a bag, and seem to never be fully satisfied. I don't carry much in my purse, but I do have times when I need to carry gear for the girls. I also deal with having to carry my camera a lot. My shoulders are one of the only parts on my body that ache quite a bit. I think that’s one reason I am so picky. The wrong bag can cause PAIN! Shoulder pain can quickly turn into back pain.

A few weeks ago while at UGA, I spotted a lady with a sling bag on her back that looked so comfy, lightweight, easy to access, blah, blah. I stopped the woman to find out about the bag. It’s a Lowepro Passport Sling. It’s a nice camera bag with tons of storage for other stuff, too. Her hands were free to deal with her children, yet she had the gear in tow, too. It looked dreamy! (Just look at it- love that gray color!)

I basically forgot about it until this week when I began to gather my game plan for my upcoming NYC trip. I am the head photographer for the trip and I will take thousands of pics while in NYC. However, the trip has a BRUTAL itinerary and I must be in tip top shape (read: PAIN FREE). We are flying so luggage is something I have to plan out. I began to consider what camera bag I should carry. I need something that will allow me to grab the camera quickly, hold items besides just my camera, be easy on my shoulders, and keep my hands free. (You know, so I can be available to the children.) That’s when I remembered the Lowepro Passport Sling.

I checked out the website; I checked out ebay; on so on. I have sadly decided that I will wait until later to purchase the bag. It’s like $60 which is reasonable, but I am afraid it wouldn’t be here in time. I guess I will order it later this summer, maybe.

I have dreamed for a couple of years of getting a Kelly Moore bag, but at $200, it is just too much. I have given up that dream- it’s only a bag and not that big of a deal, anyway.

The Classic and the LuLu are my favorites.

I think I will end up carrying Jenna’s Vera Bradley backpack as my day bag. It’s larger than I need, but It will do. Next time maybe I will plan sooner. Two weeks from today_ I will be in NYC! (It’s ok to start praying now. )
