What A Week!

It has been a WILDLY busy week. Jeff has been gone for work for several days and when he is gone, I just can’t blog. Here are some pics that I found on my phone.

Here is the pic of Jade when I found her sneaking a sucker.

We had crazy sock day at school just before Halloween. I wore these. (and no, I did not pull my pants leg up for the pic. I wore capris!)

Halloween at school….we don’t dress up, but I did. You see, I have little good sense. Each year at Halloween, I Trick or Treat to classrooms. You would think the teachers would learn, but each year they seem caught off guard. We won’t even discuss what the kids must think. You wouldn’t believe what you can gather when you Trick or Treat in a teacher’s room. The cape was left at the hayride the night before and the mask was to be used for T or T. When I tried to return the cape to the owner (kid in my class), she DARED me to wear it to lunch. HA! That was ALL I needed. I donned the cape AND the mask and off I went. (Remember, NOONE else is dressed up.) I got some funny looks. To add to the fun, while in costume, I would not speak. I just hummed this weird hum. I even did it when I had to deliver something to the principal. He just laughed. (The poor kid in his office who was being suspended when I walked in, was totally wondering what was going on!) I worked car/bus duty in costume, too. MOST.FUN.AT.WORK.EVER!

We took Jenna and Strawberry Shortcake to a festival at a local church. Jenna was tired of dressing up.

We were so excited to see Bryn there. She was a beautiful Cinderella.

AT Jenna’s Girl Scout party, she got a shirt in her goodie bag. She got an XL adult. She told Jeff he could have it. First, she put it on Jade to play. When Jeff tried to wear it, Jade INSISTED it was hers and made him take it off. DEAR!

Wednesday, I took off work and went on a field trip with Jenna to the Blue Willow Inn. YUM! The class went for a manners class. The girls played many a game of patty cake

The lady in the red suit was the manners teacher. (I called her the manners police.)

The boys had to slide the girls’ chairs in.

There is a gap in my pictures, but rest assured we were busy Thursday and Friday.

Today the girls and I went with AMS to Christmas Made in the South. It is a HUGE craft fair. I wish I had a LOT of $$$ to shop there. There were some great things. I wish I could have done all of the birthday presents that we have to buy in a year. They had great items and most were reasonably priced. Let’s just say that I saw no sign of a recession in this building. LOTS of shoppers and LOTS of buyers. That’s good news.

We shopped in HUGE crowds.

That was nerve racking when you have a kid BUSTING out of the stroller and an 8 year old wanting to look at everything….all while keeping up with AMS. It was great. The kids were awesome! (it was just hectic) I enjoyed the day with AMS and I give her credit for not uninviting me when she found out that I had to take the kids because Jeff was busy and Justin wasn’t getting Jenna til tonight.

This is ONE of the TWO rooms of booths.

Jade took a nap in her stroller after the craft show. We had to go to JoAnn’s to get some BETA stuff, so Jade napped. I think we all felt like this before it was over.

Just an example of how tired we are….Jeff and I wanted to order some sushi for dinner. Since SC is playing a HUGE game tonight, we were gonna pick it up and bring it home. When it got time to order, Jeff said, “You think if I order a pizza from the delivery place that they would go buy and pick up our sushi, too?” HA! No, we aren’t going to ask them to do that. (But we have had them bring us apple juice from the grocery store once.) We may just go hungry to avoid any effort. Glad to see this week end and calm down.

Todd, deer post to come.
