***I am going to make a prediction here: The pictures that they took in the field with the sun setting and amber lighting will be AMAZING! Like huge canvas print over the mantle kind of amazing. Just wait and see.
The food was delish!
Isn’t the family table so pretty!
Ashley’s cake was gorgeous. (yummy, too) Funny story: I look at the cake and tell Jeff, “Cool, they have the exact topper we had.” About half and hour goes by and my mind starts faintly remembering that maybe that is my topper, and I loaned it to them. Sure nuff- If was ours. I BARELY remember loaning it. Scary!
The little girls did not wait for the band. They started dancing right away. The beautiful red heads are one of the groomsmen’s daughters. (#3 girl is on the way!!!) Their dad, Brad, is a doctor in his last year of residency in Arkansas. Anthony, Brad, and his twin Ben have been friends for many years. Funny story #2: A while back while tootling around in the blog world, I found Brad and his wife TEssa’s blog. I read about tehir sweet family all the time. It was so good to see them.
Shortly, pictures were over and the bridal party was introduced. Each pair of attendants came up with a way to march in. There were ballerinas, bullfighters, chicken dancers, baseball players…
And then there was the Bride and Groom.
The immediately took to the dance floor for their first dance.
Miss Emily had to sit this dance out. Boo!
The pastor offered the blessing….
and it was time to eat. The food was yummy!
Caro and Victoria took a few minutes to dance.
AC changed into a shorter party dress. I loved it!
AShley’s dad made a Father of the Bride speech. (Jeff will never make it through one, much less two, of these!)
Mr. Khan ended by welcoming the McEvers to his family. He invited UJ to the bar with him. I couldn’t help it, everytime I saw the two of them together, I just HAD to take a picture.
Ashley and Anthony cut the cakes and did it with such class. (I am NOT a fan of the cake smash!)
NExt up, AShley danced with her dad. Her dad chose the song, “I Hope You Dance.”
and to round out the formal part of the night, Anthony danced with his mom.
All these moments are so very special, but we were all ready to get the party started. You will have to wait until the next post for that.
