Corks n Canvas

A local photography studio in Milledgeville hosts a Friday night Cork N Canvas event where you can go in and paint a picture led by an art teacher. Wendy invited me to go, and we had fun. I’m not real sure what adjectives to use to describe my painting, but fun describes the night.

I made us some cute glasses with my Cricut. We had some yummy, fruity tea that Wendy brought. I think it’s from a company in Sparta.

Here is where we started. Maybe I should have stopped here…

Here is the teacher. The model is the red painting at the top of her easel. She did hers for that night in purples. I chose yellows.

Wendy chose to do reds. Look at that talent. She revealed to me that she did a good bit of painting when she lived in Spain.

I on the other hand, failed the Draw a Person test in 1st grade because I could not draw a stick person- true story!

The instructor told us to think of Vs and Ws. Ok, here we go…

Besides the crazy looking grassy patch, the tree was looking ok.

The girl at the end of our table was talented. Look at her painting.

It’s the little things- I loved how my signature turned out.

At the end we walked around and looked at each other’s painting. One lady commented that she liked my “neon.” Great- I wasn’t going for neon!

It was a super fun night, and I can not wait to do it again. They do it every other Friday, but I think I saw on FB where they are doing it again this coming weekend. They do a different painting each time. Stay tuned- I am not afraid to try again. Maybe next time will be less neon.

I love your painting! You can add a witch and have a super Halloween pix. Good work, c

Jade's art is nice, too.
