Yes, the blog has been SILENT for a long time. My life has been anything but silent. Basically, I haven’t had time, energy, or topics to blog all week. The first week of school always kicks my butt. I have to say, this year has been better than any other….that is until last period yesterday. (a story for another time.)
We were so busy this week. I didn’t even touch my camera. Today, I had Emmaus training, and Jade went to Nonni’s. Jenna has Carysta over to play, so I did get a few pics of them.
Jenna was not into me taking her pic today. She is doing great in school. She loves her teachers, and is happy with her class and schedule.
So far, the school year is off to a great start. Jade starts her academics Monday. (Good thing! She needs some structure. She BIT a kid in the FACE on Friday. Mor.ti.fied! The kid was in her seat and wouldn’t move. Jade has never been a biter. She knew it was wrong, and I don’t think she will do it again. sheesh!)
My classes are going well. We have 8 periods in our day now, and that is a LONG day. I’m sure we will adjust. I have a great student teacher, and our new principal is working out terrifically. I am looking forward to lots of successes this year.
Jeff is working as hard as ever. Most days I simply feel bad for him. We are so thankful for his job, but it is tough for him right now. The heat is high, and the morale is low. That, added in with lots of other trails makes for a long day at work. I just pray for him.
