More homework from Jade

This week for homework Jade had to draw a picture of herself one night, and one of a family member the next. Take a look.

The first one is her self portrait. It looks like she has a unibrow, but it is actually where she drew the smile above the eyes. As soon as she drew it, she giggled, and drew one beneath. I was impressed, but wanted to see what the other kids drew. Uhm, only one other kid drew his own drawing! The rest were drawn by the parents! What? The one who did draw his own is almost a full year older than Jade, and it was just scribbles. Now, I'm not saying Jade is super artistic, but it did make me feel good.

The next day she interviewed Jeff. I loved how she drew his hair. Funny how Jenna drew it the same way when she was little. I actually was impressed with the way she copied the word, “Daddy.”

Miss Zandla, Jade’s teacher does her hair different everyday. I will try to document some of the many styles.

Sweet Jenna snagging an afternoon snack. I have to brag on her a minute, too. She had a GS event yesterday, and when I picked her up from the troop leader’s house, the leader called me and Jenna on the porch to talk. I was thinking, “Oh dear! What did she do?” The leader wanted to tell me that Jenna is always so cooperative, and agreeable. She said that she is always a joy to have in the troop. She said that many of the girls were grumpy yesterday from a late night Friday, but that Jenna helped to smooth things over by giving in and being agreeable. Atta girl!

AMS celebrated a birthday this week. I ordered her lunch in on Friday, gave her some of her fav candy, and made her this Wordle for her sewing room. I love Wordles!

Jane and Jerry gave us a crate of corn, so today I have been shucking, silking, washing, blanching, ice bathing, bagging, and freezing. Literally up to my ears in ears! So thankful for this crate of yumminess.

It has been a super busy weekend (and week). Friday night Wendy and I took a painting class (blog post to come). Yesterday, I had Emmaus training, Jeff cleaned AC/UJ’s farm house, we visited with Jane and Jerry, and ate Mexican. Today is filled with preparations for the week, and 2 church services. Then, it’s back to the work week.
