Icky Day

I am not sure what happened to Spring, but today feels like a November day. It’s cold, dreary, and rainy/ wet. We had major thunderstorms over the weekend! Jeff did get the yard mowed, fertilized, and weeded before the rain- yay!

This afternoon, Jeff is out of town so I have all of the household chores to myself. Jenna wanted to go outside and I let her. Jade wanted to go outside, too, but I had no time. (plus it’s cold and wet) Jade is not allowed to play outside with Jenna, even in the fence, because of the pool. Before you feel sorry for Jade should understand 1) She played for over an hour in the gym at school and 2) she has TOYS all over the house right now. She is fine.

She enjoyed watching Jenna from the window, anyway.

If you look closely, you can see a bruise across the bridge of her nose. She was in the swing Saturday and she saw Jenna swing high and jump out. She decided to do the same, but she did it as the swing was going backwards. FACEPLANT. For the record, Jeff was watching her. Her nose initially got all red, purple, and swollen. I figured she would have black eyes, but she escaped with just a little bruise. That Jade will try ANYTHING!

Jenna is gearing up for soccer season. Jeff is her coach. If you are looking for us on ANY Saturday morning from now through mid- May, we will be at the soccer field.

Most of you don’t care, but since this is my blog/ journal, I am going to list out my schedule for the week. Most every week is crazy, but this one is uber ridiculous. I want to document these days so when they are over, I will remember.

Monday- Jeff out of town, easiest day in near future, Jenna had coupon for free McDonalds so I escaped cooking.

Tuesday- Jeff still out of town, teach after school until 4:30, pick up Jade from daycare, bathe kids and have them at Macs by 6, pick up Lynsol, head to Bible Study, pick up kids from Macs, put everyone to bed. (Jeff should be home, too!)

Wednesday- work til 3:30, dentist appt at 3:10 (yes, they overlap. IDK how I will do that), after school until 4:30 (another overlap), nothing from 4:30-5:30 but not wanting to waste gas to drive home for a hot minute, 5:30 meeting at school for NYC trip, hope to be home by 7:15.

Thursday- work until 3:30, Jenna to dentist at 3:10 (0verlap again), parent night from 6-7 (I have to be there from 5:30-7:30)

Friday- Field Trip to UGA from 7:30am – 10pm, Jenna to sale GS cookies at First Friday (hope Jeff can take her ), Jenna spends night with friend (somewhere I have to help her pack)

Saturday- be in Augusta by 9am for Emmaus/ Chrysalis training.  Hope to be home by 4pm.

In the midst of this I have a full time job (with statewide testing LOOMING over me, no less), still have to be mom and wife, have to clean house, do laundry, and plan/ prepare meals.Further, the last fundraiser for NYC starts Friday and I have to figure out a way to pass out brochures to kids when I won’t even be at school.  Someone please tell me that I will get finished.

Oh yea, one more thing. The lady who does the NYC trip for 6th grade is on bed rest (pray for her!) and I inherited her 35 kids to keep records on, collect $ for, etc., etc. Instead of 21 people, I now have 56! (I don’t mind that at all- it’s just one more thing.)

I can GAURANTEE that someone will try to get me to do something else this week. I will have to say no, obviously. They will surely act like I am being ridiculous and lazy (or they will make me feel that way, anyway.) Why is it that the very ones who tell me to say “No” more often are the same ones who are so offended when I tell them “no”?

Stick a fork in me, I am DONE! (and the week hasn’t even started!) I can do this- and keep my smile!

***wait, I almost forgot- I have to sign Jenna up for the beauty pageant this week, order her yearbook, return something to Family Dollar, and I just realized we are down to 3 rolls of toilet paper. This is right comical.
