Phone Dump

Cleaning off my phone pics one last time  this summer.

I did not really make any big projects this summer, but I did sew/monogram quite a bit. I darned a LOT of things for me and Jenna. Normally, I would have thrown these items out, but I was so proud that I knew how to mend them now. Yesterday, I monogrammed this diaper bag for Jade’s teacher. I was right proud of it.

This is a FAVORITE! Yes, please.

At Wal Mart in Destin, AC would get this HUGE buggy for the girls. I wish I had videoed her. This thing would turn on a dime, and AC would take every turn possible. Everyone was laughing. She almost took out a rack of sunscreen. Oops!

 

I still have concerns about Jade’s ears/hearing/speech. I know she passed her hearing test at the health dept, but I was not giving up. From birth we have known that she had tiny ear tubes that were waxy. (I NEVER clean her ears bc there is never anything there.) I had concerns that she could hear volume,but maybe it was muddled. So, I made an audiologist appointment.

Jade did great! She did a LOT of tests on Jade. Turns out, Jade can hear, but her ears are TINY, congested (even though she isn’t sick), and waxy. The doctor cleaned her ears with a vacuum- WOW! I lost my breath when I saw what came out of her ears. No WONDER! I took pics of the stuff, but I will refrain from blogging it. We will follow up when she is symptomatic (sick), do a biannual clean out, and probably head towards tubes. I am thankful that this is something correctable.

As for her speech, she has a wide vocabulary, but whens he sings she gets the tune, beginning, and ending words, but middle words are often muddled. This was my cue that something was wrong with her hearing. Also, if I sing the song wrong, she knows it, and corrects me. So, stay tuned.

Today is the last day of summer vacation. Boo!
