A Tinkerbell Party

Jade has been wanting a Tinkerbell for months. I only know one person who owns a costume, and fortunately, she agreed to play the part. In fact, she made her own costume.

Since almost all of Jade’s friends are at her daycare, we decided to have the party there. The down side is that it excluded a few friends that we would have invited otherwise, but with her birthday being the last week of school, I had to do the best I could.

Tinkerbell brought Jade a birthday button, the girls hair clips, and the boys tractors.

It was funny to see the kids stand around and gawk at Tinkerbell. In her former life (as in 30 minutes prior to the party), Tinkerbell was a high school teacher. She has not much training with preschoolers. This was an awkward meeting for both parties, but they soon warmed up to each other nicely.

We had a coloring activity and Tinkerbell added her Fairy Dust (glitter) to each piece.

Then it was time for cookie cake!

It was an easy way to throw a fun party. I am indebted to Tinkerbell! She was a good sport, and I hope we didn’t scar her for life. Jade LOVED her party!
