Saturday was a beautiful day to be outside. We got to the farm as soon as it opened. The family that runs it was so nice.
Part of the package was some crafts for the kids. I was expecting some typical fair type crafts. I was IMPRESSED!
Jade got her face painted, and then made a cute necklace.
Jenna chose to do 1 big craft rather than 2 small ones. She chose Fair Hair. We told the girl that Jenna was headed to a costume party that afternoon, and she took that idea and RAN WITH IT! Jenna’s costume was to be red and black. Oh boy! Just wait til you see what she did to her hair!
It gets better!
She painted her hair black, glittered it…red and black pipe cleaners…braids, oh, and a CUP!
We chose our pumpkins. We ended up being able to get 1 large and 2 mediums with our pass. They are on our porch for now, but we will carve them before Halloween.
Boy did Jade get excited when we ran into her friend Zyler. They are friends at school. His mom was Jade’s infant teacher.
Think they like each other?
We headed out for a hayride next. This farm does a haunted hayride at night, and you could see the props that they use. The day ride was just a nice fall ride.
The hayride stops for the petting zoo. There were big horses, mini horses, turkey, chickens, HUGE rabbits, pot bellied pigs, and…maybe that’s all.
The hair just cracks me up! It was sooo cute!
This is my favorite pic of the day.
Zyler was kissing Jade.
Oh, and this pig? Yea, LIVES IN THE HOUSE!
We also got two t-shirts with our passes. MANY thanks to Hope and Derrick for this special treat. We had an awesome time. It was a great way to spend Saturday morning!
