The shopping is done for the most part. I usually do shopping for my girls from other family members, so I have that left. That’s fun- buying gifts with someone else’s money. Jade was SO excited about the decorations this year. This is really the first year that she had paid a lot of attention. She has particularly enjoyed the ice skaters in the village, and looking at old Christmas cards with pictures. (She insists that old pics of Jenna are her.)
We have a big tree for the family, a small white tree with Jenna’s ornaments, and a small white tree with Jade’s ornaments.
The village is in the playroom this year. I set it up on the dining room table since it’s pushed against the wall, anyway. We have just converted the dining room to a playroom. We can have fancy meals in a few years; in the mean time, we are making memories. Isn’t the village pretty?
Yea, well here is reality! Ha!
I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s the one room of the house that can be messy. We clean it most every night….mostly.
